BACARDÍ Legacy Cocktail Competition celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2018, bringing the global finals to Mexico City. Thirty four competitors from around the world travelled to Mexico’s capital to attend a bespoke programme of events which included immersive workshops led by some of the industry’s finest and two days of semi-final competition, from which eight progressed to the Global Final on 1st May.

LAB 5 built on our previous seven years of experience with this event to once again deliver all aspects of the week. The scale of BACARDÍ Legacy, now the world’s biggest single brand cocktail competition, requires ten months of pre-planning which the LAB 5 team undertakes in close collaboration with the team at Bacardi Ltd.

Coordination of all logistics across 34 global markets, creation of all collateral, merchandise and media assets, all PR and the execution of a total of 20 events over seven days in and around Mexico City ensured the competition’s tenth anniversary finals were some of the best yet.

LAB 5’s PR team once again brought a full production crew to create dynamic coverage of the entire event via Facebook Live. Approximately 2.5 million people watched the event live on social media.
