MOSCOW, 2014

The 2014 BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition was held in Moscow. 27 competitors, representing 27 countries took part and participated in a five day programme of events that took them all over the city; two days of training, followed by the Semi-Final and Grand Final competition and a day of celebration.

The Grand Final was held at the Petrovsky Palace, built for Catherine the Great in the Eighteenth Century, which offered a jaw dropping arrival for guests who walked through banners featuring images of the winning cocktails to the grand entrance to the palace. Members of the Russian ballet performed excerpts from Swan Lake as guests sampled previous winning cocktails in between the competition action on stage.

The week in Moscow received global coverage in drinks industry titles and helped elevate the competition to become the largest single brand cocktail competition in the world.
